Homeowners
If the worst thing happens - we'll be there to help! Homeowner policies provide replacement cost coverage for your home and contents. They also provide protection for any outbuildings like sheds or detached garages, and for Loss Of Use, in the event something happens to your home and you have to live elsewhere while it is being repaired or replaced.
A homeowner policy also provides Comprehensive Personal Liability in case someone is hurt on your property, or if you are responsible for injuries or property damage away from your home.
We can also add coverage for certain other property that may be limited such as jewelry & watches, sterling silver, guns, and (depending on the company) boat coverage.
Call us at 503-761-3558 for a home quote, or click here to access our HomeQuote Form. We will promptly get back to you with a quote.
Dwelling Fire Dwelling fire policies are used on rental dwellings. They are usually packaged with Loss of Rent coverage, and Premises Liability coverage. Contents coverage can be added for the usual small amount of contents like refrigerators, and washers & dryers, etc.
Many companies require that they are insuring your primary home before they will write your rentals, but Safeco will write "stand alone" dwelling fire insurance. The best way to get a quote on this business is to call us at 503-761-3558.
Umbrella An Umbrella policy performs two functions. The first is to provide excess liability over the top of your underlying policies (auto, home, motorcycle, etc.), and the second is to provide some coverages that the underlying policies do not provide.
Umbrella policies are usually issued for $1 million dollars or more. An example of how they provide excess liability is, if the umbrella policy requires that an underlying auto policy have liability limits of $300,000, and the umbrella is for $1million dollars, then the excess liability provided by the umbrella is for $700,000.
The policy will also provide coverages that your auto, home, and other policies do not. Your auto policy provides coverage to drive in the United States, Canada, and other US posessions...but nowhere else in the world. An Umbrella policy would extend auto liability worldwide (you might drive while on that dream trip to Europe).
To buy an Umbrella Policy, most insurance companies require that they are also write your auto and home coverages. We have a great stand-alone Umbrella market that is very competitive.
